Let Love Rule

One of my girlfriends I have known since 1971 recently returned from a trip from our hometown, Sacramento. She brought me the most thoughtful gift. A pink hat that says "Let Love Rule"

My mind and hands are moving through a pile of inspirations for this blog, and I found an article I clipped from Epoch Times. It is from the Mind and Body Section dated Feb 12, 2025. The article shares how “Love is Medicine” and research shows love accelerates healing, reduces stress, and boosts immunity by increasing oxytocin. Warm relationships enhance recovery, while hostility slows healing and increases stress hormones” and when “you are deeply loved and cherished, you have nothing to fear”.

Allowing Love to Rule and accepting the truth above love, confirms for me why I am here. It is to love. To leave more love. It is not a wonder why I am attracted to messages about love. It is our highest call. My favorite topic. My favorite teaching. My favorite verb. God is love. It does not get more complicated than that. And it does not take any other measure than to look at Christ on the Cross as the ultimate act of love. Experience the cleansing blood drip upon your forehead to know you are loved. Everything else is secondary. There is no greater love than to give up your life for someone. In Day 30 of Ann Voskamp’s Book Loved to Life she writes "[Jesus] did not die to change God into love; He died to tell us that God is love" and "your passionate love for Jesus is actually proof of God's love first for you - proof that His love for you first is what moves you to love at all"

Listening to a teaching message on control as I type these words for this blog. "Maturity is about having fewer answers and having better questions."

I guess I am becoming more mature. I know Jesus, I know where He is from, and have determined where I am going. He is The King of my heart. Ann Voskamp writes in Loved to Life "If you know Jesus is God who came down from heaven to walk this earth, you know the way to walk out all your days till you walk right back into your home of heaven". C.S. Lewis put it this way, "Aim at heaven and you get this world thrown in, aim at this world and you get neither"

Look into His eyes, into the eyes of Love. Where there is no fear and worldly circumstances and the events around you happening are simply preoccupations, distractions from the exquisite and perfect presence of your truest Love.

Join me in speaking the following, declaring God's word into your current situation and affirm love and Jesus:

Jesus is the first and the ruler of my life. I exist to serve and glorify him. I love people and believe the best about others. I am disciplined, and I exercise self-control. I am full of faith. Hope And love The fruits of the spirit are growing in my life. My spirit is strong and in charge of my flesh. I am growing closer to Jesus every day. Because of Christ, my family is closer. My body is stronger. My faith is deeper.

I am anointed, empowered, equipped and called to reach people far from God. I am creative, innovative, driven, focused and blessed beyond measure. My words, thoughts and imaginations are under the power of Christ. I take all thoughts captive and make them obedient to Christ. I wake up with purpose, direction and meaning every day of my life. I serve Jesus today. I declare these things and the powerful name of Jesus.
